acknowledgement | thanksgiving | recognition |
Gratitude is shown to have a positive impact on mental health and emotions, improved quality of sleep, and increased resilience. When connecting with your highest self, begin with expressing thanksgiving. This may look different based on your interests, preferences, and personality.

On a daily basis, I record 3 things I am grateful for in a journal or planner. This method was suggested by my school’s Social Emotional Learning (SEL) team when the planners were gifted at the start of the 2022-2023 school year.
I made reflecting and recording part of my morning routine. There were some days where it wouldn't happen in the morning- for whatever reason. And other days, where I missed my opportunity to write. Despite my imperfection, I always tried again the next day.
Even when it's storming and cloudy out, there is still something to be thankful. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.
-1 Timothy 4:4

When the all 12 months of the planner were filled out, I was in search of a new journal. After being influenced by Instagram, I purchased the Five Minute Journal on Amazon. By this point the routine was pretty solid which meant it was time to turn up the heat. The Five Minute Journal provides spaces to record gratitude, intentions, and an affirmation every morning.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul know it very well.
-Psalms 139:14
